Blue Butterfly is an evocative story of survival and healing, centered on Merjem, a former Bosnian soldier who flees the war-torn landscape of her homeland in search of refuge in the United States. However, the shadow of her past continues to follow her as she struggles to find peace in a new world.

Elisa Cornish authored the libretto and lyrics for this piece, and classical pianist Leandro Apud composed the musical score.
